What is MissionLab?

MissionLab is a summer missions program hosted at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. The program is designed to help students and leaders understand that mission opportunities surround us every day, no matter where they live. Together, we can work to carry out the Great Commission and to help your student or yourself grow in his or her walk with Christ.

When is MissionLab?

We will depart on the morning of Sunday June 30 and return the evening of Wednesday July 3.

Where is MissionLab?

MissionLab takes place in New Orleans, Louisiana. Mission projects are assigned to various groups and occur in different locations across the city. Housing and Worship sessions are at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Is it safe?

We understand how parents might be nervous about their child going to a city like New Orleans. We do all we can to minimize any risks to your child. Every adult chaperone undergoes a background check and students will always be under adult supervision.

How much is it?

The cost is $259 per student and you can pay online through the Chilton Baptist Association by clicking on this link. Please help us by leaving the “Cover Fees” box checked and make sure “NOLA Mission Lab” is selected or you can also bring check or cash by the Chilton Baptist Association during office hours (Mon-Thurs 8 am to 4:30 pm; Friday 8 am to 1 pm) to avoid the fee of paying online. The cost covers meals and housing for each participant once we arrive but each participant will need additional money for one meal traveling to New Orleans and one meal when returning from New Orleans. Typically, one night during MissionLab some within the group may choose to go out to a restaurant to enjoy some of the amazing food in New Orleans, so additional money would be needed for those who choose to go out instead of eating the meal provided at the Seminary.
