Each week I share one resource I can personally vouch for. This week it is a podcast episode: 6 Reasons Singing Hymns Matters, from the Revitalize and Replant podcast with Mark Clifton of the North American Mission Board.

This one is for anyone who sings on Sunday, not just worship leaders and pastors. Clifton walks through six reasons congregational hymn singing matters for the health of a church, and he makes the case that it is far more than a style preference.

I found it a really helpful reminder that what we sing shapes what we believe. We have to make sure our songs are not simply following the trends of the culture but are rooted in the deep and eternal truth of God’s Word.
