CBA Weekly: Kid’s Camp Week and Praying Over Our Churches

This is a big week for the CBA as we host our association Kids Camp at Shocco Springs. I tell people its one of my favorite (yet most exhausting) weeks of the year. Children from across Chilton County are heading to Shocco Springs. Thank you so much to those of you who made donations to help us keep camp as affordable as possible to pour into the next generation.

United in Prayer

Pray 4 Chilton is our shared, daily prayer covering for the county. Would you take a 15-minute slot and lift up our churches, our leaders, and our neighbors? Sign up to pray at pray.chiltonbaptist.online.

Prayer Focus

• Kid’s Camp, July 13-17 at Shocco Springs. Pray for the children attending and for the counselors and leaders serving them all week: safety, joy, and young hearts meeting Jesus.
• Pastors and their families in the thick of summer ministry: pray for rest and renewed strength.
• 412 Tabernacle is a new church being started from Thorsby First Baptist. Be in prayer for this new church start and consider partnering with them through their upcoming Back 2 School Outreach. Backpacks and school supply donations are needed for this event. A collection box is located here at the association office for any items you might like to donate. Donations are needed by July 24.

A Need to Share: Women’s Jail Ministry

The Chilton County Jail is looking for women who would come alongside the women there to lead teaching and discipleship. If the Lord stirs you toward this, or you know someone He might, reach out to us at [email protected] and we will help you take the next step.

• Bell Lane VBS: Sunday, July 19, at Bell Lane Baptist Church.
• Bivocational Pastors Breakfast: Saturday, July 25, 9:00 AM at Farmhouse Cafe. Our quarterly breakfast for bivocational pastors and their bivocational staff (spouses will be welcomed next time). To RSVP, contact Tyler at [email protected].
• Evangelism Training: Who’s Your One?: Tuesday, July 28, 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Clanton First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Practical training to help you share the gospel, part of the Celebration 250 emphasis. All are welcome.
• Stronger Together (CBA Marriage Event): Saturday, August 15, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, West End Baptist Church. Clay Cox (Dry Bar comedian) with Cliff and Toma Knight. $50 per couple, lunch included.

Church of the Week

This week we lift up Bell Lane Baptist Church, pastored by Chris Ferguson. Please pray for Chris and the Bell Lane family, especially as they welcome children for Vacation Bible School on July 19. May the Lord bless their witness to their neighbors.
