CBA Weekly — July 20, 2026
A Word to Start
Friends, summer is winding toward its close and the rhythms of a new school year are already coming into view. Before the calendars fill back up, it is a good week to slow down and remember why we do any of this: so that more of Chilton County meets Jesus.
And what a week Kids Camp was! Thank you to every church that donated snacks, sent kids, and gave of your time to help us pour into the next generation. It made a real impact, and none of it happens without you. Thank you for the quiet, faithful ways you serve your churches and neighbors. Let’s keep our eyes on the harvest together.
United in Prayer
Would you take one 15-minute slot a day to cover Chilton County in prayer? Our churches are stronger when we pray together. Sign up for a daily prayer time through the Pray 4 Chilton campaign:
- Sign up to pray: pray.chiltonbaptist.online
Prayer Focus
- 412 Tabernacle Back 2 School Outreach. This church plant (from Thorsby FBC) is collecting backpacks and school supplies for local students. A collection box is at the CBA office, and donations are due July 24. If you would like to give, drop items by the association office this week.
- Bivocational pastors. Pray for the men who shepherd a church while also carrying a full-time job. Several will gather this Saturday for encouragement (see below).
- Evangelism in Chilton County. Pray as pastors and members are equipped to share the gospel through the “Who’s Your One?” training this month.
- Students and families. As a new school year approaches, pray for students, teachers, and families across the county, and for the churches ready to welcome them back into fall ministry.
