CBA Weekly: A Prayer Guide for September 30

Two dates are coming that belong together. On Wednesday, September 30, churches across Chilton County will give their midweek service to prayer. On Thursday, October 1, we will gather in one room and Rob Jackson will preach. The praying is not the warm-up for the preaching. It is the work.

Pray With Your Church on September 30

On Wednesday, September 30, churches across Chilton County are giving their midweek service to prayer for revival, the night before Celebration 250.

To help your church pray together, there is now a half-sheet prayer guide you can print and hand out, two per page. It walks through six prompts: praise, confession, our churches and pastors, praying for your “one” by name, Celebration 250, and Chilton County.

Grow With CBA (Open to Everyone)

Ministry Training Institute classes meet Tuesdays, 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Fall Term B, The Gospels, begins October 20 and registration is open now through Samford. These classes are for every believer who wants to grow, not just pastors and staff.

The Church Health Check-Up course is free and available anytime at chiltonbaptist.online/courses.

Resource of the Week

Life on Mission, a free app from the North American Mission Board, with a new feature called Gospel Coach that lets you practice a gospel conversation before you have one.

From Bro. Tyler: “What a powerful tool! One of the things that is lacking in evangelism training is the ability to practice live and this app gives the opportunity to do just that. While many are concerned about AI, I’m seeing some creative uses of it for missional purposes, just like this app.”
