Life on Mission: Practice the Gospel Conversation Before You Have It
Most people in our churches are not unwilling to share the gospel. They are unsure what to say when the moment actually comes. You can practice with another believer, and there is real value in that, but asking someone to sit across from you and play the part of a lost friend is awkward enough that most of us never get around to it.
Life on Mission, a free app from the North American Mission Board, was built for that gap. It walks you through two simple gospel presentations, 3 Circles and Best News, with short how-to videos, conversation guides, and straight answers to the questions people actually ask. It is available in English and Spanish.
The newest addition is Gospel Coach, an AI-powered tool built into the app that lets you practice a gospel conversation and get feedback on it, so the first time you say it out loud is not the first time it matters.
From Bro. Tyler, our Associational Mission Strategist:
What a powerful tool! One of the things that is lacking in evangelism training is the ability to practice live and this app gives the opportunity to do just that and even allows you to increase the difficulty level for those who are more seasoned in sharing the gospel. Give it a try! While many are concerned about AI, I’m seeing some creative uses of it for missional purposes, just like this app.
The timing is worth noticing. On Wednesday, September 30, churches across Chilton County are giving their midweek service to prayer for revival, and one of the prompts is to pray for your “one” by name. Celebration 250 follows the next evening, Thursday, October 1, at 6:30 PM at the Chilton County High School Auditorium.
Praying for your one is the first step. Knowing what to say when you finally sit down across from him is the next one.
